Rocket Software Named Ellucian "Growth Partner of the Year"
Rocket Software won the 2017 "Growth Partner of the Year" award from Ellucian.
Ellucian, the leading provider of software and services built to power higher education, selected Rocket for the prestigious award in recognition of the company's outstanding technical support for Ellucian's cloud-based solutions and for its role in helping the company transition to its current SaaS license model. The Growth Partner award was announced at the Ellucian Partner Forum and Leadership Reception held during the EDUCAUSE annual conference in Philadelphia.
"Rocket technology, services, and support play an essential role in Ellucian's industry leading applications, whether deployed on-prem, in the cloud or SaaS," said Chris Westfall, Vice President of Business Development at Ellucian. "And as our cloud offerings have evolved, Rocket worked with us to adjust our license model, which helped us meet customer needs in new ways. They've acted as a true partner."
Ellucian has been a long-time user of the Rocket MultiValue (MV) Application Platform, which combines an embedded database and development platform to offer the best of traditional database management with the flexibility, innovation, and performance today's applications require. The MV integrated architecture dramatically simplifies deployment and maintenance, while the fluid and natural data model reduces the need for costly DBAs or system administrators. With its low overall total cost of ownership, the MultiValue Application Platform is making it possible for millions of users around the world to solve their critical business problems.
"Rocket is honored to receive this coveted award from our valued partner, Ellucian," said Rocket CEO Andy Youniss. "I want to thank all of the Rocketeers for their hard work and ongoing dedication to our core values. For me, this award is a tangible symbol of Rocket's commitment to putting customers and partners first, and I'm proud to work with such an outstanding group of people."
