Ideal Business Services Chooses BlueFinity's mv.NET for Government of St Lucia.s Warehouse Management System

Ideal Business Services Ltd are very pleased to have completed the development of a computerized warehouse management system for the Government of Saint Lucia Ministry of Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs.

The Ministry actively promotes and facilitates, in close collaboration with the private sector, the dynamic investment and trading environment on the island of Saint Lucia.

Ideal were delighted to partner with the Ministry on a custom-built software solution for use at the Government's supply warehouse at Castries. The warehouse holds and distributes a number of commodities, including brown and refined sugar; wheat and whole wheat flour and parboiled and white rice. All commodities arrive at the supply warehouse in containers, which are then de-stuffed at the premises, with the bags within being palletized before storing.

Prior to the new computer system being installed, various processes and ledgers were being completed by hand, for example stock record sheets, cash book, deliveries log and daily sales records.

The project has been managed by Ideal's Director in the Caribbean, Paul Parkinson, who commented, "Like all Ideal software solutions, the new supply warehouse management system has been developed to the client's exact requirements. We spent time finding out how they operate and then worked with them to produce a computer system that replaces virtually all manual operations within the facility."

The new supply warehouse management system is an Internet-based system, with users accessing it via a web browser. As with several other custom software solutions, Ideal developed the new system using mv.NET from BlueFinity International - a suite of components designed to provide the MultiValue developer with a comprehensive solution to the challenge of creating Microsoft .NET based applications requiring access to MultiValue databases.
