Revelation Software Purchases Freedombase Web Ready from Freedomsoft
Revelation Software today announced that it has purchased Freedombase Web Ready , a web development suite from Freedomsoft , for inclusion into its OpenInsight database development product. Freedombase Web Ready is a quick and easy way to add Web front ends to existing OpenInsight applications, providing a fast and cost effective means of rejuvenating existing or legacy systems, and retaining the investment that those systems represent. "Today's software user expects to be able to run applications in a browser, whether from a PC or mobile devices", states Mike Ruane, President, Revelation Software . "By purchasing the Freedombase product, we're able to give our developers and users the most efficient path for doing so." "We have been running Freedombase on OpenInsight , as our preferred development platform, for around three years," states Glenn Groves, Managing Director, Freedomsoft . "We have been impressed with both the realistic pricing of OpenInsight, and the portability of applications between Windows, Linux and recent Macs. Incorporating Freedombase Web Ready into OpenInsight delivers fast and easy Web development and Web porting of existing OpenInsight applications to OpenInsight developers, and is a great combination." Revelation plans to rebrand the purchased Freedombase product as WebOI in order to eliminate any confusion between the two products.

MVDBMS developer society - call for suggestions
The International MV Developers Society is currently under going petitions for support. Once enough supporters have been established, then discussions will be held to determine a true direction and focus. At this time, I have the follow 3 major things to accomplish: - Educate existing developers regarding existing and new technologies, both inside and outside of the MV market.
- Educate the non-MV markets about MV and help promote exposure of products in non-MV markets
- Assist vendors with user and developer certifications
