Nutri-Care chooses D3 based Formul8 from Sanderson
Sanderson, the publicly owned provider of software solutions for the food and process industries, has won a contract to supply its D3 based Formul8 solution to Australian pet food manufacturer Nutri-Care. Nutri-Care manufactures high quality pet food for the Australian and export markets from its facility in Bathurst, three hours west of Sydney. Newly-formed from the acquisition and consolidation of four companies, Nutri-Care chose Sanderson to provide a single solution to manage their business venture. The Sanderson solution will replace a number of existing business applications to provide a completely integrated system for the enterprise. The solution will provide Nutri-Care with extensive functionality and consolidated business information to optimise its operations and support company growth. The software will provide full visibility and control of the business with functions such as inventory, yield and labour management and overhead tracking. Manufacturing efficiency will be improved with the integrated sales, purchase and production order management capabilities, and complete two-way traceability will ensure Nutri-Care can meet the highest standards and legislative demands. Wilfried Ulmer, Director at Nutri-Care explained: "The integrated Sanderson solution puts us in the best position to make the most of our consolidated enterprise. We will be able to capitalise on the synergies between our premium dry and semi-moist dog and cat foods, baked biscuit and fish flake product ranges whilst improving each of them respectively." Mark Lofthouse, Product Manager, Food and Process Industries at Sanderson said: "We're delighted to continue our success in Australia by supporting Nutri-Care, as the Sanderson solution is ideal for newly consolidated businesses. The integrated modular format will enable them to optimise their business processes, and they have the option to add additional functionality in the future."

Brian Leach Consulting Appointed Reseller for SpoolerPlus For UniVerse and UniData
Sysmark Information Systems, Inc., author of print spooler and migration software for the U2 community, is proud to announce the appointment of Brian Leach Consulting Limited as a Reseller of SpoolerPlus for UniVerse and UniData in the British Isles. Brian Leach is personally known throughout the MultiValue community as a technical leader, trainer, IBM Certified Solutions Expert, and Vice President of the International U2 User Group. "A generic Pick print spooler for Universe and Unidata will be a huge step forward in improving expected Pick-like functionality and lowering conversion costs for End-Users moving their software onto UniVerse and UniData from any generic Pick database," Mr. Leach said. "Best of all, they can continue to use their generic Pick spooler. No more converting all the STARTPTR and SP-ASSIGN commands in your generic Pick software to SETPTR commands." SpoolerPlus allows you to run your generic Pick software on UniVerse and UniData using the generic Pick printer commands that are embedded in your software or that you use at TCL. And (adding a feature to the generic Pick spooler) you can configure each printer to the print characteristics of the assigned print queue automatically when the printer is assigned to that queue, using printer drivers that we supply and/or that you may write - which is the "Plus" in "SpoolerPlus". "Migrating generic Pick software to UniVerse and UniData has never been easier", says Dave Taylor, CEO of Sysmark.
