BinaryStar Brings Wiki to MultiValue

BinaryStar Development Corporation, the makers of the NUCLEUS, have announced the immediate availability of NuWiki, the first Wiki for MultiValue platforms.

According to Lee Bacall, President of Binary Star, "Wikis are the hot topic in IT today. They are quite possibly the killer-app for the next few years as businesses look to them as a means of collaborative documentation."

Bacall added, "Unlike most commercial Wiki packages in the market today that involve a wide array of scripting languages and databases such as MySQL, NuWiki runs entirely inside the MultiValue environment, so Pick shops can leverage their existing talent without a huge learning curve."

"NuWiki is much more than a documentation platform. It's a new way of looking at database applications that defy normalization to standardized input routines. One Wiki site we know of is a large California bank who uses Wiki to track their in-house PC's. When a tech needs to know about a particular system, she can open the Wiki topic for that machine, see its entire work history, and record any changes made to the system. They love it. It simplifies paperwork and data-entry, and the data is always up to date".

"Harvey pulled another rabbit out of his hat on this one", Bacall said, referring to Harvey Rodstein, the Chief Developer of NuWiki. Working closely with Jonathan E. Sisk, Chief Editor, they researched how other Wikis worked and emulated the best of the features into a surprisingly robust and feature-rich product."

NuWiki can be seen and experienced at NuWiki.com. No registration is required to visit NuWiki, but is required to Contribute to or change topics. And just like all of the public Wikis, all changes and revisions to topics are logged in case a rollback to a previous version is ever required.

A number of Nuwiki service plans are available, including publicly hosted and privately hosted configurations. Custom installations on your own equipment, to support unique security and management concerns of any organization are available.
