Zumasys Hires Mike Wright, Former Vice President of IT at Equiant Financial Services
Zumasys announced today that Mike Wright, former Vice President of IT at Equiant Financial Services, has joined the company as a Senior Software Developer. Wright brings more than a decade of experience in software development, including a heavy fluency in marrying PICK with open source editors and tools such as Visual Studio Code.
Wright began his career as an intern at Equiant Financial Services in Arizona, where his technical and project management skills enabled him to ascend from his role as a software developer to the Vice President of IT over a thirteen-year period. During his time as a developer, Mike inherited the companys MultiValue-based accounts receivable application and led the migration of the companys legacy web application to a modern ASP.NET/C# framework.
In his role at Equiant, Wright took responsibility for IT operations and the continued development of the companys MultiValue application which is now 100% web-based for their call center and all customer-facing operations. Mike also lead the effort to cloud-enable the PICK application and achieved HIPAA compliance on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Additionally, he administered the companys certifications for SAS 70/SSAE-16/SSAE-18 and PCI compliance.
Wrights experience as both a Developer and an IT leader give him a unique perspective into customers challenges, enabling him to quickly connect with executives and programmers alike. He is able to quickly identify pain points and develop solutions that support IT and business objectives for a wide variety of audiences.
While at Equiant, Wright was a staunch proponent of migrating from D3 to jBASE because of its ease of use, scalability and modern functionality. Today, he is passionate about continuously improving jBASE to meet customers evolving needs and he works closely with the jBASE Product Development team to solve real customer challenges.
As a Senior Software Developer for Zumasys, Wright provides contract programming services and web/API integration for MultiValue using open source technologies including Vue and VS Code.
