Congratulations to David Jordan of Dacono who has been recognised by IBM as a 2009 Data Champion.

Congratulations to David Jordan of Dacono who has been recognised by IBM as a 2009 Data Champion in appreciation of  the time and energy he has put into supporting the U2 community. David has been involved with the U2 environment for 26 years in its various forms and with his father Dennis started the Vmark users group in Australia 18 years ago and continued with the Ardent user group when Vmark merged with UniData. When Informix acquired  Ardent, David lobbied hard to ensure UniVerse and Unidata were recognised as databases that had a future and continued to promote them  when IBM acquired the database business from  Informix. David became a founding member of the International U2UG and worked  tirelessly with the other directors to manage the email lists, web pages and build other functionality for U2 users.

David's company Dacono has been delivering strategic and innovative systems for over 25 years. They currently sell their own UniVerse based solution to financial institutions to support the handling of complex compliance and strategic planning requirements and remain passionate about the commercial benefits that U2 offers businesses and developers, particularly in the current economic conditions.
