Event Schedule:

Workflow
Mon 11:00 AM

How to use Workflow software to perform Business Process Management. A quick look at Wexflow, an open source workflow program and how to interface Wexflow with a multivalue environment. Wexflow is an open source C# program that works with Windows, Linux (using Mono), Mac OS and Android operating systems. It provides for graphical building of a workflow, graphical management of a workflow and an extensible architecture to allow extensions for different BPM needs.

Workflow software Advantages include:

  • Automate Repetitive tasks
  • Better manage workflow
  • Improve BASIC Code portability
  • Integrate third party functionality
  • Reduce Errors

Microsoft .NET is now a great runtime machine for MultiValue. Custom applications or applications such as Avanté, Prelude, or MasterPack can run in .NET. This opens up a world of interconnectivity. SB+ specifications move into the MVON# Netbuilder tool so that everything runs in .NET. When teamed with SQL Server as the DBMS, your entire application platform switches to Microsoft. Whether you use SB+ today or not, this approach is well worth seeing. Wow!

Rocket employs over 120 people, primarily software engineers, devoted to MultiValue. And, we’ve been busy! Regardless of the Rocket MultiValue platform in your environment - D3, UniData, UniVerse or mvBase – this is a “don’t miss” session where we’ll cover the new features and benefits of our latest product versions (think security, compliance, high availability, and modern languages making it easier to hire and retain young development talent). Then, we’ll give you a sneak peek at what we’re working on now including performance improvements. We’d also love to hear from you! Please join us.

Join Zumasys Technical Evangelist Patrick Payne for this interactive discussion on how modern Web frameworks can integrate with your Pick MultiValue system. See a live demonstration using tools such as Visual Studio Code and Zumasys’ RESTful services (MV Connect) which allow you to map Pick records directly into objects. Among other things, these can be accessed by visualization solutions such as Microsoft’s popular Power BI. Walk away with a good understanding of the incremental steps to reuse the same RESTful services to build Web applications that leverage your existing MultiValue code.

Find out about the newest enhancements in AccuTerm 7.2, which is available now as a free download for all AccuTerm 7 users. Plus, get ready to eliminate hung ports with AccuTerm 8 and preview AccuTerm Web, the browser-based version of AccuTerm coming out later this year.

AccuTerm 8 includes ReZume which will reduce your IT support headaches (and keep your users happy) when those dreaded network hiccups occur. AccuTerm ReZume will provide session persistence and auto-reconnect to eliminate lost sessions and hung ports. Be sure to attend this popular session for some exciting announcements that will energize your MultiValue experience!

OpenQM supports the generic query processor features found in all multivalue database products but also extends the query language to add many useful features. This session will look at the structure of a query command and then explore the extensions available to each clause including requirements such as CSV format output or colour highlighting of reports directed to the user's screen.

From problem reporting and project management through change control and deployment with rollback, PRC can increase productivity while meeting your compliance requirements. PRC works within the MultiValue environment to automate change control and deployment while enforcing security and protecting the integrity of software and data. With PRC in place a company can move ahead with in-house development without restricting their ability to take vendor upgrades.

Never lose work, step on each others' work, or make a mess that you have to fix in live under the gun again. Whether a company wants to provide tracking and robust tools for programmer convenience or must take it all the way through to compliance, PRC meets the needs of the developers (even specifically the “Pickie” type of developer who is used to moving quickly and freely) and of management (even the accounting/auditor type of management who recoils at fast and free development) easily and conveniently from within the familiar environment.

I'm going for it and taking a shot at a TED-like talk on MultiValue. Past, present, and future glimpses of data models and languages put a new perspective on where MultiValue applications are heading. MultiValue is part of the landscape bringing in the Multi-model database. SQL Server is now an impressive DBMS for MultiValue applications. MongoDB and Azure Cosmos DB are new options too. Data models and languages inter-operate: MV BASIC, SQL, JSON, Python, C#, SQL, Typescript. At a high level, what is the future of data models and where do our MV applications fit moving forward?

Evoke from BlueFinity is a Mobile App Development Platform that provides for the fast development and deployment of mobile, desktop and web apps that operate across, and fully integrate with, all types of SQL and MultiValue databases.

Evoke allows for the creation of new business apps and extends enterprise applications in a fraction of the time of other methods. Based on a single design and code base Evoke supports the deployment of Apps across multiple platforms and devices including the iPad, iPhone, watches, Android and Windows phone plus Windows, Linux and Apple desktop as web, hybrid or native Apps.

Join Rocket Software to view their latest tools and products, and learn how they can increase your company's productivity.

Learn about the extensibility of Rocket® D3, UniData and UniVerse to powerful Rocket solutions that:

  • Provide multiple options for modernizing your MultiValue application without changing your MV code and while your organization runs at full capacity
  • Solve application lifecycle management challenges in hybrid and/or complex development environments that include D3, UniData, or UniVerse – so you can automatically deploy across your development environment at once and with confidence
  • Help you easily mine and visualize your MultiValue and non-MultiValue data for analysis

Looking for Adhoc reporting from your legacy Application?

Do you have a feature rich legacy application that has all your customized data, yet you are struggling to provide a cost effective solution to generate GUI Reports? Would you like to empower your users to create their own custom reports, without having to memorize file names and bizarre dictionary IDs? PHI Reporting combines the richness of Accuterm GUI as a user interface, and the power of MSExcel as a reporting repository. The result is a simple to use, dictionary driven, powerful reporting tool.

Our Reporting tool empowers your users to create adhoc reports and save templates for later use. You can print, save (as .PDF), or email. Your users will utilize “user friendly” Gui Screens, and to create reports in familiar .xlsx format, complete with Images, formulas, and headings.

See how you can create custom reports in minutes... you will NOT be disappointed !!
